What is Upland?<\/h2>\n\n

The goal of the metaverse world Upland is that every user can create their own online empire<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n

You don’t have a real avatar like in many other worlds, but a so-called “block explorer”<\/strong>. The block explorer is constantly wandering through Upland, looking for interesting plots of land that you can buy. The movement of the block explorer cannot be controlled and is random.<\/p>\n\n

The map of Upland is based on the real world map<\/strong>. But you can’t buy digital land everywhere, but only in some major cities<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n

Users can own digital land, build real estate or businesses on it, create cars, and earn UPX tokens.<\/p>\n\n

The UPX token can be earned<\/strong> by collecting fees from visitors to your properties, selling a property for a profit, or starting a business in Upland. You can sell properties in Upland either for UPX or also for e.g. US dollars to get real money<\/strong> with the sale.<\/p>\n\n\n

The currency in Upland \u2014 UPX<\/h2>\n\n

UPX tokens are the in-game currency in<\/strong> Upland. UPX is a fungible token<\/a> on the EOS blockchain<\/a> \u2014 similar to cryptocurrencies. However, the UPX tokens can only be used in Upland. As a user, you can sell a property for e.g. US dollars instead of UPX.<\/p>

The UPX token is pegged to the real US dollar. That’s why 1,000 UPX tokens are equal to $1.<\/p>

With UPX, users can buy land and real estate, but also sell it. A payout of the UPX tokens in real money or in a cryptocurrency is not possible in Upland.<\/p><\/div><\/div>\n\n

The block explorer in Upland<\/h2>\n\n

In Upland, you don’t walk across the map with an avatar, but your so-called “block explorer”<\/strong> automatically wanders through the area and is always looking for interesting land for you.<\/p>

While the block explorer is your Upland avatar, it’s not the same as classic avatars from other metaverse worlds or even other games. Actually, the block explorer is just a round picture. You can change the background color as well as the icon.<\/p><\/div>

Control Block Explorer<\/h3>

If you click on a plot, you will see a “Send” button<\/strong>. You can use this button to send your block explorer to this property for a fee<\/strong> (= shipment).<\/p>

Each Uplander receives 3 shipments daily.<\/strong> You can have a maximum of 11 open shipments. By clicking on the paper airplanes on the map, you can collect additional shipments. Broadcasting fees vary by city. The broadcast of a block explorer is only possible within the city limits. If you want to change cities, then you have to take the train, bus or plane<\/strong>.<\/p>

If you click on your block explorer and select the paper airplane icon<\/strong>, then you can send the block explorer to one of your properties or to a specific address.<\/p><\/div>
